Cleaning without dish detergent Let the cookware cool, soak briefly if possible, and scrub any burnt residue with warm water and Petromax chain cleaner. You don't need any dish detergent. Rinse cookware again after cleaning. Before putting your wrought iron cookware back in the cupboard, it should always dry well. (caution!) Also dry the chain cleaner thoroughly after use, otherwise corrosion is possible.
