Hunting wild boars in El Encinarejo

We're heading into the heart of the Sierra de Andújar, to the El Encinarejo estate, to experience one of the most authentic hunting experiences with our team of Young Wild Hunters. Amidst tall crops and breathtaking landscapes, an experience awaits us where every detail counts, from the precision of our equipment to the connection with the surrounding nature.
Preparations and Equipment: Ready for the Challenge
The day begins with preparing our equipment, fine-tuning each piece of equipment: rifles and bows, and adjusting the technical equipment that will capture this experience. On this adventure, we offer bow hunting, which adds a special level of difficulty and forces us to get as close as possible to our targets, honing our senses and remaining alert at every step.
To do this, we brought treestands and blinds , essential for camouflage and minimizing our presence in the surroundings. The treestand setup, which Borja Balaguer carried out step by step, ensures us an elevated position, improving our shooting angle and giving us the advantage we need on this challenging day.
In Search of the Wild Boar
We began stalking wild boars early in the morning, delving into the terrain and locating a few specimens. Thanks to D2D equipment and our TACTACAM cameras , we were able to monitor the animals' movements, capturing every detail and getting close enough to ensure a clean and ethical spear. With this equipment, precision and tracking of every step were possible, allowing us to document every moment and get closer to our prey.
Harvesting and Cooking Wild Boar Meat
After a successful wait, we managed to shoot two wild boars. For us, every capture is an opportunity to make the most of the resources nature provides us. On this occasion, accompanied by our friend Óscar in the kitchen, we prepared the wild boar with a special recipe that includes chocolate, a dish that highlights the flavors of the meat in a surprising combination. This culinary experience reminds us of the richness that hunting offers us, not only as a sport, but as a sustainable tradition.
How to make a tusk splint
To conclude the adventure, Javier shows us how to remove a wild boar's tusks without damaging them and prepare them on a tablet as a memento of the day. It's a meticulous process, but the result is a trophy that represents the memory of each shot and each day in the field.
This adventure at the El Encinarejo estate reminds us why we love hunting and the respect we have for every animal and every landscape we set foot on. At Young Wild Hunters, we believe in ethical and sustainable management that respects the balance of nature. This day in the Sierra de Andújar, where technology and tradition come together, leaves us with an unforgettable experience and a new chapter to share with all of you.
