Team Building and female management in Encinarejo
Last Friday, November 25, the Young Wild Hunters team was at the Encinarejo farm, in Jaén, carrying out an incredible management of females and a meeting of all the members of the audiovisual section (cameras, hunters, brand manager, director of product, etc.).
The first objective was to do Team Building among all the participants in the creation of hunting content and the second, to manage the overpopulation of hinds and ranges on the farm.
Young Wild Hunters Camp
We arrived at the preserve on Friday and instead of staying in the farmhouse itself, we decided to create a camp in a clearing in the middle of the forest. We set up seven tents and in the middle of them we lit a bonfire. Around the fire we had a meeting to organize the weekend, in which we distributed the podcast recordings, organized the topic of brands and products and divided into hunting groups before going to sleep.
At 6:30 we were up and divided into two rifle teams and the other two archery teams (all of them always accompanied by a cameraman). We had breakfast and distributed ourselves in the different spots.
That morning, the archery team didn't have much luck, but the mid-mountain rifle stalking ended with the management of two hinds with perfect casts.
The break was to eat, specifically, deer empanadas that we loved and we want to add without a doubt to our recipe book . At the end, we rest for a while in the camp and prepare for the next outing.
It was at that precise moment when we saw a doe at 275 meters and decided to shoot, the female fell instantly and we went to her to cut her up. Later we observed a specimen with a beautiful set, but we decided that it was not a good idea to shoot there since it was close to a road. That is why we took some photos and continued on our way until 600 meters further on, there was a group that we shot at, shooting down a precious doe that we managed and took to our camp.
For dinner, the cooks made us pasta with venison meatballs and homemade tomato sauce, then we uploaded all the recorded material to the computers and loaded the cameras.
last hunting day
On Sunday we woke up again at 6:30 in the morning, had breakfast and went out to the field. We managed a female with a compound bow very effectively and later, we shot a larger one with a bow as well.
The rifle team missed several difficult shots at long range, but at the last moment a female fell 300 meters away. It was a very management shot, as the female was sick.
Once the day was over, we packed up the camp and went home to clean and fix all the meat from these days. In total, five hinds and a doe, the sixth hind could not be consumed because it was sick and the meat was not suitable. All this took us about five hours, but we got sirloins, steaks, minced meat... a wide variety of delicacies.
It was a weekend to remember by the whole team, we left with very good feelings, we gained shooting skills, reflexes and we made a lot of pineapple between all the members of the audiovisual family. All the objectives of management, quartering and distribution of the meat were met, all thanks to the Encinarejo farm that gave us this great opportunity to work in the fields of Andújar.
