The event of the year: WHY DO YOU HUNT?
On March 23, an event that brought together the entire hunting and rural sector took place at El Beatriz in Madrid. The room was filled to its maximum of 200 people and the atmosphere could not have been better. How was the event? Why did it take place? What does it present? We tell you...
Presentation of our new docuseries
Why do you hunt? This is the name of our new audiovisual project, which has the objective of informing people why hunting is necessary in the world. Given the ignorance that exists among the population, at Young Wild Hunters we explain closely the reasons that make hunting a necessary practice in biodiversity management. And not only in that, but how in different parts of the world it is a way of life and survival.
In this way, we want to break the stigma that the figure of the hunter has among the population, for this we will present different scientific and cultural foundations that will surely transmit the essence of the activity and break with all the prejudices that are established from ignorance. .
With this initiative we also intend to seek the union of the sector in defense of the rural world and give visibility to hunting within it. This event was a clear representation of this, since people from all walks of life came together, but with a unique feeling of unity, which now, more than ever, must raise its voice.
Can you imagine the hunt on Netflix?
This is our objective as an audiovisual producer, that the hunt sneaks into the main streaming media. That is why we want Why do you hunt? It is broadcast on platforms such as Netflix, HBO or Amazon, so that this hunting activity that is so far removed from the main audiovisual media is here to stay.
In this way we will open the doors to content without prejudice that is available to anyone from the sofa at home and there is no need to have specific licenses to access hunting material on television.

Chronicle of the event: How was the event of the year?
The Beatriz Auditorium opened its doors at 8 in the evening, when the first guests began to arrive. The team's nerves were in the air with the final preparations for everything to go as expected. People began the evening in a large room where hunting conversations began to be exchanged among the attendees and old familiar faces met in the same place. The hunt had flooded the auditorium as never before, until that Thursday, March 23.
When the room already had 200 guests, who were enjoying their gatherings and welcome canapés, they were led into a large room with armchairs and a large screen. It is there where at 9 o'clock, the presentation began.
Ignacio and Gonzalo, founders of Young Wild Hunters, started with a small intervention and a video of a great adventure that marked them, “The legend of the feather”.
After this, came the explanation of how did the initiative for this docuseries come about? The speakers explained that after six years recording videos and living experiences all over the world, they continually wondered what was the best way to communicate hunting well. A very difficult goal, since you have to try to reach the entire public, both hunters and non-hunters. They had the help of José Luis López - Schümmer, who helped them plan the project and who went up on the auditorium stage to contribute his grain of sand at the conference. After the interesting intervention, Ignacio presented a video with an essence of great emotional value.
After the emotional images, the veterinary doctor and director of the Artemisan Foundation Carlos Sanchez came up, who gave his scientific perspective and exposed his biodiversity projects to the public. The founders, after this intervention, presented the teaser of the new docuseries, all made with their own images of Young Wild Hunters.
The presentation ended with a tribute to a great friend that everyone would have liked to be present in this project. Thus ended the evening, and gave way to the moment of providing help to the production of the docuseries. Then he went to the living room to end the event, with a small snack and time to finish strengthening ties and congratulate.
