hunting camp for kids
Rediscovering hunting is a camp for children with the aim of "Contributing to the formation of new generations with enthusiasm and respect for the countryside". In it, the little ones will be able to enjoy a true experience in the middle of nature, in an idyllic setting such as the Sierra de Gredos.
Hunting is enjoying watching a sunrise in the mountains, the smell of rockrose, knowing how to differentiate a cork oak from a holm oak, understanding the behavior of animals, differentiating birds by their songs or their flight, seeing a dog enjoying doing a sample, spending nights under the stars with friends, knowing how to interpret sounds, tracks and behaviors... All these emotions, knowledge and skills are part of hunting, linked to the human being since it existed.

Rediscovering Hunting is located in the Sierra de Gredos Regional Hunting Reserve. The closest town, Bohoyo, is just a 5-minute drive from the camp. The camp is located in a unique setting, with spectacular and impressive views and surrounded by emblematic species of big game in Spain, such as the Ibex.
It has several shady areas and the proximity of the Bohoyo Gorge, and the Tormes River to refresh ourselves daily in its clean waters.
Day-to-day activities take place in a closed space where there are impeccable facilities, a large glass-enclosed dining room to enjoy the views, areas for workshops, professional kitchens, infrastructure for falconry birds...
What workshops will the little ones do?
They will have the opportunity to enjoy a lot of activities and workshops such as bow hunting, photographic hunting, game meat workshop, falconry, Ibex stalking, waiting workshop, hunting and hunting dogs workshop, fishing workshop or for those over 14 years of age a carbine workshop.
All of this immersed in a camping environment and nature that will surely make them live an enriching experience and learn values that can hardly be transmitted in an urban environment.
Values that it transmits rediscovering hunting
- Children are in full contact with Nature 24 hours a day and learn from it.
- Camping carries a simple life concept. It means learning to value what surrounds us at all times, and what we have at home.
- It connects them with the camp and with their companions: They live a few days away from the screens and focus on enjoying themselves.
- It gives them a feeling of immense freedom: waking up with the first rays of the sun, with the sounds of the birds and the rumor of the torrents is wonderful.
- Encourages personal growth: sharing the space with other campers means thinking beyond yourself, learning to live without many of the usual comforts.
We ourselves, at Young Wild Hunters, made a recording of what this magnificent experience was like last summer. In different episodes of the workshops that we leave you below:
